Guiding Principles

The critical guiding principles of Aviation Staff School, Zaria are:

1. Holistic Education:

   Seeing each child as a unique individual who learns differently is key. And helping each child to develop as a whole human being (i.e. "holistically") is vital in our approaches. We therefore, strive to provide a complete education that develops the child in all seven domains: spiritual, mental, social, natural, emotional, creative, and physical.

2. Responsibility and Accountability:

   We take responsibility and hold ourselves accountable for our own actions, admit when we failed by our own standards. We deliberately put in place mechanisms to make our students feel loved, respected and encouraged; and all their achievements are celebrated. This core value is to enable us strive to be our best selves at all times, and pass this to the students we groom.

3. A Sense of Community and Multiculturalism:

   We are a school that recognizes and embraces the cultural diversity of our community. We accept all cultures into the classroom and seek to learn about the unique perspectives of people from cultures different to our own.

4. Being the Light for Others:

   We are a school that grows children who care for one another, are concerned about the challenges being faced by others, and want to act to make a better world by helping others find their way through the light of the knowledge they have acquired at Aviation Staff School. This core value is central to our motto, Knowledge is Light.
